We could not have been happier with our recent Open Evening. The later time enabled so many to attend, and has definitely encouraged us to host more evening functions.
It was wonderful to see so many new faces and it is always great to see so many familiar ones.
Our very own Richard Edmondson, had very bravely taken on the task of providing a full meal for over 50 people and he certainly did not disappoint. The food was amazing. When Richard first suggested to me that he would like to do the catering for our next event, I was a little anxious. I had no need to be.
He began by baking his own olive focaccia,then prepared three joints of the most succulent roast pork with a beautiful soy dipping sauce.
Richard then finished everything off with the a delicious lime and coconut set custard pudding, topped off with Anno Vodka sorbet.
Anno Distillers of Marden provided the throng with a steady flow of gin and tonics which were magnificent, it was intriguing to discover the painstaking process which goes into the production of each bottle. We were all treated to their superb Kent Dry Gin and Elderflower Vodka.
It was a truly memorable night. Thank you so much to all of you who attended.
We hope to see you all at our next event on Wednesday October 21st, where we will be wine tasting with award-winning Chapel Down Vineyard. Should be another great event.
