DAVID MONK

HEAD MACHINIST

David’s job involves ordering the wood, then taking a raw piece of wood (log) and cutting down to size. He produces all the door and frame pieces and mouldings.

After completing a degree in Engineering and Design at Sheffield University, David then decided to change course and re-trained locally to become a carpenter. David then joined Edmondson Interiors completing his apprenticeship and working his way up through the ranks to become the Head Machinist. David has now been with Edmondson’s for 10 years.

Favourite projects are producing curved furniture pieces using the Spindle moulder and ring fence.

Outside of work David enjoys playing golf.
